Last week I wrote about Gunnersbury Park’s Art Fund campaign. This week I have fantastic news: The deadline for “Set To Stun” has been extended!
Our community has until the 27th to chip in a bit each and fund a museum exhibit that will preserve the spirit of Science Fiction we love!
After I posted on my blog and social media, many fans sens me questions about the rewards and the campaign. I put those questions to the organizers on your behalf and I have answers for you!
All of this information will be reflected on the funding campaign page soon, but until then, here’s the information I got via email:
Q: Will the project still happen even if it isn’t fully funded?
Without the crowdfund the museum will have to lower the scope of the exhibition quite a fair bit – as of today we have a two-week extension though, so our new deadline is July 27! We’re confident we can get it over the line with the added time
Q: What are the funds going to be used for?
The funds will mainly go towards the cost of creating the scenery, the featuring props and environments, as well as some of the immersive content hosted in the exhibition. There’s loads of very exciting stuff and events planned as well!
Q: The David Learner reward is unclear about how exclusive the reading/signing is. The fan who asked said the way it reads, it sounds like the reading in October is open to the public, so what’s the reward for?
That’s a great note, it will be exclusive to people who have purchased the reward. We’re asking our host to update the wording to be more accurate – as well as mentioning it’s actually for a pair of tickets, so purchasers can bring a guest!
What do you think?
