Happy Launch Day to Douglas Adams’ London!
As of today, the first thing I noticed when I went to check on my guide-baby (as opposed to book-baby) is that Amazon still thinks they are unofficial:
WHY THE HECK NOT?
I have no idea and my publisher doesn’t work weekends.
I confirmed last week that the distributor in L.A. had them, and in fact, a box of my author copies was on my doorstep today! Hooray!
Those who pre-ordered via Amazon should see their credit cards charged and shipping notices go out very soon. (If you don’t, please let me know.)
The second thing I noticed was that as of its birthday, the map and guide became more valuable and even had some scalpers:
I don’t know why anyone would choose to buy a brand-new guide for more money…well, unless it was for a SIGNED COPY!
Within a few weeks, I hope to have a commerce-enabled page of the website where you can buy a signed copy of Douglas Adams’ London (and get freebies!). Until then, if you need a copy for someone special (or just yourself) e-mail me and we will figure it out.
What do you think?
