What? Yvette is actually going to use that voice of hers where it makes sense!?
On November 4th and 6th I will be sharing personal stories on stage live at the Center Stage Theater. At a 7:30 PM show on Thursday and Saturday nights, I’ll be telling a tale about ‘Kate’s Corner of the Park,’ just one of the many moments that turned me into a Douglas Adams literary tourism addict.
It’s one story, but you have TWO OPPORTUNITIES, to hear me “out” myself. I’ll be coming clean about what a total book and travel nerd I am in front of a live audience!
There will be parkland. There will be Plane Trees. There will be intervention from the Norse Gods. There will be laughter!
How does it work?
My performance group is Group A. My husband Mark is in Group B. Since we’re assigned to different groups, I will be on stage or in the audience all four nights.
Performances run Thursday to Sunday, two performances for each: Group A on Thursday and Saturday, Group B on Friday and Sunday (NOTE: Sunday is a matinee!).
Early bird tickets are just $20. ($18. for students and seniors), and the performances are a fundraiser for Center Stage Theater. I will be sharing the stage with other local Santa Barbara writers, performers, and artists who will regale you with first-person, inspirational anecdotes from our lives.
Please consider coming out for a night of fun entertainment (Also a safe night: proof of vaccination required, masks required) at Personal Stories – Return to Live! directed by Maggie Mixsell.
You will hear tales of rediscovered love, youthful motorcycle cross country adventures, love affairs, mojitos, and a whole lot more!
What do you think?
