The Hunger Games

I liked Hunger Games the movie; the performances really made it work. I can’t imagine what it was like for the clueless folks who didn’t read the book – I expected more exposition. In fact, I HAD to hiss “Be Quiet, PLEASE!” at an older man behind me, who narrated the totally obvious at the dramatic pauses. I agreed with the critics who said Katniss wasn’t hungry enough; not because she didn’t LOOK hungry, but because she didn’t ACT HUNGRY. There were no voracious feasting scenes at all. Wish the ending of the series didn’t leave such a bad taste in my mouth. Maybe they will fix that in the movies. I doubt it though.
