Friends have started sending me snaps of their congratulations faces upon hearing that Douglas Adams’ London hit #1 in the niche category of Hot New Releases in London England Travel Books on Amazon.com:

Always rooting for me, friend David Diamant sent this congratulations face:

I was working on audio editing for Leanne Elliott’s Podcast, You’re Up First! when I found out the map had hit #1. My dear friends Ryan and Leanne shared their excitement about my news with this picture of their congratulations faces:

Thumbs-ups from Leanne and Ryan

I don’t have actual numbers on how many pre-orders have been placed, but I will share them when I do. I’m also planning on doing a few videos and blog posts to help fans understand exactly WHAT a Herb Lester Illustrated map is.

As I’ve mentioned numerous times, it has been delightful to work with Herb Lester’s editors and correspond with the illustrator, so here is my congratulations face for them too:

Hooray!

Obviously I was feeling good when I snapped this selfie. After seeing the pic, what came to mind was Hugh Grant in Love Actually saying, “I must work on my wave.” If the news about the map, the app, and the book continue to be this exciting, I suppose I must work on my thumbs up.

Thank you fans and friends!

  1. This is just the best! We all should have excited faces and thumbs up posts on our blogs. Well done on all the hard work and bringing something beautiful, fun and useful into the world. No small thing!

  2. […] I feel like Dirk, running through the night, desperately seeking cigarettes. Except wanting the map is much healthier and I’m not alone in my waiting…and waiting…because we’re all waiting together. […]

What do you think?
